I brought home the DSL modem that I am renting from ACS, hooked it up, followed the install instructions to add the new network connection, and voila, it’s working great. Without having connected the line conditioner units to the two telephones we have, two voice conversations that Mimi had disupted my connection. It didn’t disconnect either time, but it froze my connectivity and I had to dis/reconnect.

1.0 Mbps down/ 320 kbps up: $69/month

Sure beats 33 kbps I was getting with my 56K dial-up modem.
